NFL Alumni Golf Classic Washington Redskins Chapter
Benefiting Hundreds of Troubled, Abused & Neglected Children and Youth
Broken Lives to Bright Futures via Hearts & Homes for Youth
"As If They Were Our Own"
A message from Bruce Allen and Mark Moseley
Dear Friends, Colleagues, Golf Enthusiasts and Redskins Fans:
As Honorary Chairman I am pleased, along with Mark Moseley and Rex Smith, to invite you to join us at the 31st Annual NFL Alumni Golf Classic (Redskins Chapter), a tournament to support children in the community.
This year, we are proud to announce the Children of Hearts & Homes for Youth as the beneficiaries of this great event. You know these kids. Although they may have suffered lives unimaginable to us, they are precious. Should you look into their eyes, their smiles, you would see your own child, your grandchild, your neighbor, with the same spirit, hopes and dreams yet to be fulfilled. Tonight, tomorrow and the coming tomorrows, 136 children are at 'home', thousands before them, thousands yet to come; their stories untold of miraculous journeys to success.
Join us as a major sponsor, or sponsor a team, for the Golf Classic. Invite your friends, colleagues and associates to participate in this great occasion as well, as we invest in the most valuable 'commodity'- the 'futures' of children, with an ROI beyond any other...greater than Wall Street on its best day.
The day-long event will be held June 21, 2010 on the Norman Course at the Lansdowne Resort. The Classic is a top notch outing featuring a host of Hall of Fame Redskins and Alumni: Art Monk, Charley Taylor, Sam Huff, Bobby Mitchell, Mike Bragg, Brian Mitchell, Brig Owens, Pat Fischer, Chris Hanburger, Roy Jefferson, Larry Brown, Ron McDole, Joe Jacoby and many others. Each team who participates will have a Redskin Alumni as part of their foursome.
The winning team will advance to the "Super Bowl of Golf" with the winners of the other NFL Alumni tournaments in the spring of 2011. There are several sponsorship opportunities available, in addition to sponsored teams, which will receive significant recognition in the program, on course signage and banners and at the evening awards dinner hosted by TV Anchor Leon Harris. We look forward to your participation. Come, enjoy a great day of golf, meet notable Redskins alumni, have photo ops, get autographs and network with a host of elected, community and business leaders. Ultimately, your involvement will benefit young people in the care of Hearts & Homes for Youth, and brighten the futures of some very deserving kids. (Visit www.heartsandhomes.org) To be a sponsor or register a team, contact Mark Moseley's assistant, Kathy Corsetty, at 202-579-5500.
Thank you from each of us and from the children of Hearts & Homes,
Bruce Allen, Redskins General Manager
Mark Moseley, President, Redskins Alumni
Rex Smith, President/CEO, Hearts & Homes for Youth
